Knucklehead utility contractors are setting new power poles around here...they set two Friday on a street corner across from my front yard, and severed the damn main telephone runs. Been running off nothing but my cell phone, Verizon LTE data plan since Fri. I only have 5 Gb a month of data on it, plus any roll-over from the previous month. Depending on how much I’m on my phone, away from home WiFi, it can go quick.

I’ve already talked with Windstream, my ISP, about all this time being credited back to me. They said absolutely we’ll credit you for the five days, or however long it’s gonna take to get it back running. I’ve got the option here to go with Cox Cable, cable modem. Of course this crap would’ve never happened if I had Cox.
