This same kid could not get a job with a tube bending company because he couldn't read a tape, couldn't convert fraction to decimal, and couldn't convert gauge to decimal and vice versa. I have known him his whole life and was blown away. He is a good kid and would make a good worker somewhere that doesn't need math. He is working for a traffic signal company right now painting traffic signs, putting out cones and barrels, etc.

We had a helper on a 2 story new house remodel
We were wrapping up
And asked him to build a box in the basement
To put scrap in so we could carry it to the open top dumpster.
He built a box alright
4ft wide x 8ft long 4ft high
And had filled it with sheetrock.
I said how in the hell are you going to
Lift that bastard and get it
Up a flight of stairs
Through a 36" door.
He said it never occurred to him
In all the three hour's it took him to build that behemoth.
