It's good to have 2 sets of knives anyway. That way you can keep the chipper working while the other set gets sharpened. Don't over look the anvil (the part opposite of the knives). That part should be adjustable. You don't want that gap to be to big.

Flip the anvil. Most have not been moved. Four sides to them. Fresh blades and 0.035 blade to anvil. I know I know. I felt the same way. Just do it. A one inch wide putty scrapper works great to set the gap. You will be amazed how fast it eats after a good setup in the feed area. I love mine. Takes three guys to keep one chuck and duck working full steam. Walk right on past the chute as you feed it. Three zombies working a loop
