Evening all. Made it through the day. Have 2 more cars to try and boost again in the morning that just wouldn’t go today.

Anyone ever hear of putting a battery in the trunk? BMW X3...

Sounds lame.

Is there a boost terminal under the hood?

Or may it can be charged up through the obd2 port?

Actually made trying to boost easy, pull up behind on the same side of the road. Engine itself was just too cold to start today. Will stick a heater under it tomorrow and try again in the morning.

99 Cadillac Seville was either under the back seat or maybe in the trunk. 06 Chevy cobalt is in the trunk

I have a set of Snap-On 20’, 2 ga wire, that I keep in my semi. A good set of cables makes all the difference. NAPA makes decent heavy gauge cables also. I just prefer the longer handles on the Snap-On cables.

A tarp draped over the engine bay helps keep the heat in, need to be careful not to start your car on fire when you stick the heater under it. I can remember using some charcoal in a metal oil drain pan and sliding the coals under the engine and draping a tarp over during an unexpected cold snap. You can also take your battery out put it in the warm garage and charge it, put it back in when your engine is warmed up and voom, voom.

Jumper cables today aren't what they used to be. I remember Dad having a set that were like arc welding cable and they worked really well. Nowadays they're made from speaker wire

Tomorrow I’ll throw a small shop heater on the engine for a bit and then boost it again.

Dug out my good 6gauge cables tonight, if this doesn’t work she’ll need to have it towed to the shop. Lives in an apartment with only street parking, can’t plug a block heater in overnight or anything.

Heater will be powered from a source not my car.
