Smoked Pepper Feta Cheese Dip/Spread...

Fire up the old smoker, grill or whatever you got with the coals on the side for indirect grilling. Put a foil pan of water near to the coals for some humidity.

Grab about a 1/2lb of your favorite peppers. I prefer red chilis. Throw them on the grill away from the coals and let them cook with the lid closed.

Flip after 15-20 minutes and repeat. After the peppers are cooked, pull them and let them cool. Peel the skin and keep the flesh part of the pepper including seeds.

Throw the peppers and 1/4lb of feta in the blender. Add a couple tablespoons of olive oil and a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Blast it with the blender until smooth.

Some feta is more dry so if it's not getting processed in the blender add a little more oil and vinegar to help it along. Toast a nice piece of baguette and enjoy....

Mornin' Saw Sparklers! Same weather again today, but the sun peeked out for a minute or two.

Sweats pants, coffee, wood stove and not a lot else today. Man, that smoked pepper feta was off the hook.

I'll post up the recipe. Ya'll have a good one.
Please do !:hello:

I almost set a block on the gas pedal in the Expedition and let it drive into a swamp yesterday.

In NC you have to have an annual “Safety Inspection” to renew the registration; a bullchit walk around and OBD II plug in test. Of course the car is great all year until its time to be inspected. October the evap purge solenoid pooped out. Replaced and cleared code. On the way to get inspected CEL pops on again! Chased a “lean condition bank 1 sensor 1” code for a 2 weeks (try to keep the miles down so driving 250ish miles takes time); turns out if was a loose heat circuit connector in a plug higher up in the harness. 4 days this week went to get the car inspected and every time it failed for “not enough miles to register all codes”. I put over 400 *f-wording miles on it on purpose this week and atill not enough! Yesterday it failed for not enough miles, again. I got pissed and drove 225 miles yesterday to get the damn thing up enough miles. Get back to the shop: not enough miles! I swear on every thing holy i am going to torch this godamned Dorf pile of chit!!!!! Its almost 700 miles since the *f-wording code was cleared!! FML

I have googled and researched this ad nauseam; found 3 different “Dorf specific drive cycle procedures” and have done all 3 repeatedly, including the 48 hour rest. Battery is new (less than a year). I am so mad I could punt a baby seal into a woodchipper
