They're all a buncha reality crackheads. I've never brought a sledgehammer to a remodel. Why in the hell would I wanna pick a bunch of small pieces off the floor?

So you can throw your back out and then sit and watch your money go out the window as the wife hires someone to finish the project

I needed one for that damn home made counter top.. about 300 ring shank nails holding it to the top of the boxes... 1 nail every 2" it seemed.

20 screws clamping the sink in. None of that stuff was moving. Trying not to destroy the plaster behind them too.

I've seen two kitchen floors destroyed from leaking ice maker lines. Both were expensive repairs and both were MDF/press board underlayment.

No way I'd use that crap. I'd sooner use OSB if money was an issue.

1/2" OSB is $17 and change right now around here....so it's not exactly cheap any more.
Yep that chit is like a sponge, and swells up like a mfer. Definitely not a good choice in any water area. Osb is better, but not great.

Nothing wrong with osb in that application. All it does is swell. Plywood isn't as stiff and de-laminates when it gets wet. It's about that same cost per sheet here, too
