Yeah probably true. Wife's Tahoe had 280 on it when we traded it. Motor was perfect. Body was still really good surprisingly. Trans still good. And I can now change a fuel pump in 45 minutesI was going to say earlier, the bodies and frames here usually last twice as long as what you mentioned and people usually go through two motors and trannys because of the heat. just my guess anyway, in order to reach 300-400k

My daughter has an 06 cobalt. Plastic lines coming out of the tank were known to crack in hot climates. Her car was from Alabama. GM had a recall in most southern states, but not Alabama because the Gulf was a moist climate. And there supposedly weren't any problems in Alabama lol.yes dont get the non name brand ones they last maybe a year

So...she smelled gas one day. Sure enough, cracked lines. I replaced the whole unit. A month later, the car wouldn't run for chit. 35 psi fuel pressure. Car needed 45+ to run. I dropped the tank, put the old pump back on with the new lines. Problem fixed
Must......resist.........UGH!
If I were going cars, no doubt it would be a Honda or Toyota.
