350 lbs worth in that. Pita crawling in to do the far edge. at least I started on the largest one first.



Layers are important.. you can see the second cutout to be welded up on the other side of my arm.

I like the insulated quilted flannel hoodies from Walmart. Get them on sale for $7-8. Sumbiches ain't for welding though. They look like sparks from Harry potter's wand if you get too close

2500 ton Forging press. The "puddle" will be roughly 20" thick at the back and about 8" at the front.42" wide 70" front to back. Some spots deeper, I'll take some pics once it get to em.

It is called a wedge pocket. In theroy you slide the wedge up/down to adjust the shut height for different die setups. I don't take long for the wedge to get beat down into the press bed, so when ya try to slide it the wedge sits on the high spots. Rocking back/fourth making bad parts. So fill it solid as have shims made for the different dies. lasts 2-4years vs 6-8months.

Just a plan cheap hoodie works best. Bout 2 weeks worth the arc rays burn em up if the spatter don't get em first.

Long sleeve turtle neck, hoodie, jeans and uninsulated car hart bibs is where I am most comfy.

I think he meant running trunk lines to a few areas of the shop then tap off that Kevin. That's what I would do anyways. Running each plug and sw in its own pipe is definitely too much work in this case.
