I take Saturday off when I'm able to take a day off. I'm not one to lay a religious label on a day of the week....but. Saturday is the last day of the week. And in Latin, it means Sabbath Day.

I believe we were designed to have a day off to reset.

That day we take off is Sunday's. of course I need to do chores, but we just do the stuff that needs to get done. Also Lisa being a nurse has to work weekends cause people still are sick.

I remember growing up when nothing was even open on Sunday's. No stores, gas stations, restaurants etc. That has since changed though. It's still very rare to see anyone do yard work around here. We live in a AG community and no one thinks of doing field work.

On Sunday's that Lisa works I take the kids to the hospital and we eat lunch together in the cafeteria.

In the rat race if today Sunday's are my favorite day. It's a day with nothing happening except spending time with family.

Good morning America and beyond .

IMG_0151.JPG

This is the only picture I have of our feed mill. We have multiple grain legs that are 135' high with down spouts to down to the bins.

Every 5 years we have a paint crew come in to paint from Tennessee. One guy paints the downspouts. It may be James.

The dude climbs up the grain leg with his paint gun and crawls down each spout and paints them. No harness...... He just hangs onto the spouts and slides his ass down....

You can see some spouts from this picture. They are the 8" and 10" round tubes going down

Working six days a week here for the past couple of months or better has relegated my Sunday's to getting house/yard work done. Between that, getting in the woods to hunt, working in the shop, grilling Boston butts, etc, Sunday is my only day to really do it. And now it's gonna get dark around 5:30/6:00pm so that cuts into the daylight equation.

You fellas did remember to set your clocks back, righto?

Yep, now it gets dark about 4:30 here. We are a mile west of the time line.

Sounds like a great way of life my friend.
