All another day when you work 7 days a week.

Just think of all the money your making....
For sure. Not uncommon to spend $5-700 a week in some of these places. The money closest to home is the best money. It is incredible how much you spend making "big" money on the road. It ain't what you make,it's what you keep.
Some of the welder/fitters around here have campers that they run to jobs and live in. I got my '90 12valve and 35' Coachman off one(had to take the camper to get the truck). Have you ever considered that? For sure. Not uncommon to spend $5-700 a week in some of these places.
I have. A lot of the companies I work with fly us and rent cars for us. I can't see spending money on one to sit in the driveway 6 months or more a year while I rack up sky miles. Some of the welder/fitters around here have campers that they run to jobs and live in. I get that. But hotels get really old. My company no longer will reimburse you for lodging you provide for yourself. You should see some of the"Union approved" chitholes they've put us in.I have. True. Last year i went all the way cross country and halfway back before home in 16 days. It would have been 4 days driving from coast of CA to NH. I would lose more money than I save. I don't stay in near as nice when I'm paying. A lot of these companies put us in Marriott family hotels or holiday Inn express.I get that. But hotels get really old.
