ive done some ceilings and made them look like nothing ever happened. Then ive done some that look horrible. Im hoping I can do 4 mud n sand coats and make it look good.

They won't notice it in 2 weeks.

You hung the plastic for dust control?

In finished houses I never sand drywall repairs. I use durabond-20 for the first two coats. Right before it kicks off I knock the high spots down with a grout sponge. Then use a lightweight 'topping' joint compound for the final skim, go for coffee. By the time your back it'll be dry enough give it a quick final 'sanding' with the grout sponge... No mess and it's ready for paint. I always wait till the next day for paint to be sure everything is fully cured/dry.

ive used durabond 20 and still sand. its tougher to sand. never done it your way. i have a vac hooked up to a wet bucket hooked up to a drywall sander for dust control. yes i plastic everything in these houses. they have housekeepers 2 times a week.

Durabond is okay but Proform is where its at.I would use 5min first coat 20 topcoats add hot water speeds drying time.Been doin this chit way to long.Done repairs like that replaced primed and painted in 4 hours.

I've been using what used to be the white bag durabond 'lite', now they call it easy sand. Though I still use the brown bag if it's plaster on lath (better texture match)... If you want any of them to set really fast try using your wash water from the last batch.

I've never tried painting the same day when it's a full three coat patch. But I suppose with latex paint it I wouldn't need to be worried with a little moisture in the wall still.

The whole key to keeping homeowners happy is never sanding drywall in a finished house

Taco Tuesday sounded pretty good yesterday, so we went with some friends to the local restaurant/bar

My daughter woke up at midnight sick
Lisa ended up getting sick and didn't sleep all night

Buddies girlfriend who went with us ended up getting sick.....

My best friend got killed in July of 12, citizens in our town made a huge deal of the whole ordeal.

There was a good two week's between when the news broke and his homecoming and the funeral. Obviously every flag was flying half staffed, except the Burger King's in town. When they announced the route from the church to the cemetery it just happened to be going right past a BK.

The days leading up to the funeral multiple people stopped in and questioned why the flag wasn't lowered and the response was "it's not our policy"

Needless to say people in our town got pissed and were about to go all Ferguson on that particular joint and the flag was lowered at the one on the processional route during the processional
