Yep!!

Last Oil change on the Patriot was a package deal with rotation and alignment 20% off, and a free oil change.

Last Sat. It was time for another, and got under the thing expecting 15min. and done.

Nope. The *dipsticks used an impact on the drain plug, AND the filter.
Stripped out one of those stamped filter sockets, using a breaker bar, and no room to jam a screwdriver through.
Had to get old school with a handful of sand on an oily strap wrench, just to break the damn thing loose.

Drain plug was half stripped....took 45 Min. just to get the damn thing out, run to the Parts store and get another.

Yeah..."Free".:BangHead:
The damn plug was 6 bucks, and the trashed filter socket was like 9 bucks.
Never again!

It ain't just you Tulip worshippers. :taptap:

Here's my "hold muh beer and watch this" moment for today. 28ft ladder in a pickup truck fixing a couple roof shingles.

I used to do stupid chit like that. Then my wife became a nurse at the hospital, I heard stories of what happens when things don't go as planned. Got this thing to use instead.

It will go straight up to 50' at the bottom of the basket. So a 56' working height. It will extend out 30'. IN practice you run out of reach before height.

It's also self propelled so I can move it around houses. But you have to lower the basket to move, Doesn't work great on wet grassy hills. Their are newer light weight versions out that have similar size boom but are mounted on tracks, they also have have to legs to level. BUt they are not cheap and I've yet to see a used one with tracks for sale. I bought this one from a rental place when it was two years old for about 1/3 of what they cost new. It paid for itself the first year and has only had a couple of minor low cost breakdowns in the last ten plus years. And could easily sell it today for half of what I paid... Constantly have other contractors stop buy and want to buy it.
