The Blizzard has ended and now it's just a severe winter storm. The difference? Visibility on the highway of less than a 1/4 mile is considered a blizzard, conditions have improved enough that you can see better if you are dumb enough to be on the road.

The major highways South, East & West are all closed. The roads North where we are supposed to go later today are open but snow covered.

3 or 4 of my neighbours are already out cleaning drives and our street but I think I need to see the bottom of the coffee cup a few more times before I tackle mine...

Then there's all the trees, that are overloaded easy for them to fall on a line. Will be gusting up to 50mph today with 1/2 ice. Trees grow like weeds here in these parts.

Trees and limbs falling are where we see most of the damage.

Good morning Gary sounds like a bit of a chit fight out there stay safe today,cleaning the drive is probably as far as I would venture as well.

I've always wondered why in the hell they don't bury those lines in the first place.

More costly $$$ to go underground, so they only do that in areas that give the most problems here.
