I appreciate all you fellas that liked my post about my comment about my son...he’s my man! And I’m getting older, feeling my body now...what it’s seen and done and gone through, etc. I wouldn’t have changed a thing in my life if I had to do it again, except for being a hard ass, that cost me my one and only 18-yr marriage to their mother. She and I live 8 miles from each other, have never had a bad word btwn us since our divorce. It was a game changer raising these kids. We actually had the same attorney for the divorce...go figure. She comes to my home often and eats, I do the same at her place...still to this day.

I’ve seen a lot of ups, but a heap more downs in my travels. My kids ended up good, and that’s all that makes a chit on this planet to me in the long run.

I’m looking forward to having my number one man back here, my son...on the bass boat weekend after weekend. We gonna put that bass boat in the water, come hell or high water!

Here at work on pins and needles. The older couple across from me had the EMS there earlier a d it seems one of them went to the hospital. They are like a 3rd set of grandparents for my kids. Hopefully its nothing major.

Thanks. They are usually snowbirds and not home but after some untimely expenses this last year they decided to stay home for the winter.

The geeked-up Husky 55 I bought from you a few years back, is still my go-to saw. When I break it out in front of him, let him use it, etc, he always says...’Dad is this the saw you bought from that Mark dude in Iowa.’ He remembers that chit to this day. Thought I’d share brother.

It's good when the kids come home. My oldest lives 6 miles away, the middle daughter lives a half hour away, and my youngest has been home from college for a month for Christmas break. It hurts enough when we don't see them for a couple weeks, let alone a year.
I'm proud of your son for serving and glad you got to spend some time with him
