your guys has mostly 50ga's Mike, we have mostly 58ga's expuipment, not sure who is the best of those two setup:s

East coast guys run a lot of 58, west coast the 50. Middle of the country runs both of them. As a general rule of thumb.

Hey there Tor, if you have any aluminum transfer, you will want to get it out first if you can with a flap wheel or similar before you hone. It doesn't take much to get a cross hatch in a cylinder for ring break in. A few passes in and out is all.

thats how I do it Steve, remove most of the transfer first.
I would like to have longer stones then what this 3 shoe honer has, they are 1.15" long who is to short after my liking

Might be a problem getting them past the ports I would imagine.

that is the normal problem with them small 3 shoe hones Steve, they need longer stones and a modd so they fit, I count what I got as a starter kit
