Anybody used these from ebay? They're small and cheap

Mounted one on my hotrod 026 today. If they're any good, the 026 turns 17.5k and 12-14k in wood.

Was wondering if maybe it was reading high, or if that's even possible

kevin do you have another tach to check it with ?
Nope. Had this one 6 mo and first I've used it. Don't see me buying more.

It idles a bit high, and the tach said 37-3800. So it reads right down there. I know doc has one about like mine and I knew his got up around 17k

Good evening Kevin, how was your day? I have a cheap azz one like that as well, and I think that they might read a little high. I don't have another tach to double check it yet though. At the low rpm I think it's pretty accurate, the clutch engages at 2700 on my pioneers, and it's dead on.
