I really don't know, i'm just assuming it's in correctly, this guy is a good saw mechanic, that's why i'm not sure I could do much more than he has already done.there is a shoulder on the metal part of the pump it needs to be pointed to the outgoing tube
What keeps the pump housing from spinning in case?it will slide in at any position but wont feed unless the hole is close to the shoulder
OK that might be the problem, he just pushed it in and didn't align it.that i dont know unless a friction fit

The saw has to be completly disassembled ,cylinder out ,total tear down to get at it.you can use a screw to get it out
