Morning boys. Glad to hear that I am not the only one with winter weather still. Since the blizzard blew threw Monday Tuesday we are back to firetruckin cold again.

Was -15F this morning when I got up, now -9f. Winds are a fairly light 16mph so it only feels like -27F at the moment.

I will tell you guys I may not have been posting much lately but I have been reading and for sure enjoy the entertainment value. It's been a rough few weeks around here, too much going on and the pressure was getting to me a bit so I didn't have much positive to say so didn't say much at all.

I found out yesterday that I have Celiac disease and have to completely remove gluten from my diet. It will be a life changing few weeks as we completely revamp our diet and menu at home. Given how much I love bread, pasta and any baked goods I sit here and wonder how am I ever going to do this...

I have pretty good support around me and you guys from a far so I know I will make it but sometimes the hill looks pretty steep. I just have to remember the book the 4 yr old had me read him last night. I think I can, I think I can...

That sucks Gary.
You can do it, I'm sure the first year will suck. But once you get into a groove I'm sure it won't be all that hard. I know a few people with it, there are more and more places that offer gluten free.

Keep your head up. There are worst diseases out there

Thanks guys. For sure there are worse things I could be dealing with. I am interested to see how I feel once the gluten is all out of my system. If I feel as good as sone people tell me it will be worth it. This whole thing started a a pre-screening for colon cancer which my mom has had. Boys get yourselves tested is all I will say. Pooping on a stick should be easy for most of you...

This is another time that I am both glad to live in Canada and don't have to pay out of pocket for the medical but sure wish I lived down south and could shop at a Kroger or a Whole Foods.

We already struggle with meal planning and now will have to work especially hard at it as the lack of convenience foods will be the biggest draw back.

At least I don't have to worry about sugar and most of my favourite candies appear to be gluten free.

Got to try out one of dallas' chains today. There's not a whole lot I enjoy more than cutting wood.
