Im sure I wouldnt get lucky enough on driveshafts. My other option is to use a 231 out of an older rig. I need to do some reading on the auto-trac.I imagine the abs will be unhappy and what about drive shafts? is the 205 a fixed yoke?
Its out of a ferd. Ive bough/sold a bunch of 205s but since scrap went through the roof a few years ago all the good stuff went away. Were did you find the chevy 205 drive drop at ? Thats a sweet unit!
A few years back I lost power in the winter. It wasn't a good feeling when my wood furnace was burning hot, no power and I had my generator in a out building.
It took a half hour to dig the generator out and then get it fired up.
My wood furnace was really really hot by the time I finally got power to it.
From that day on I keep my generator in my heated garage and I try to remember to start it about once a month.

Oops thats what I meant to write.What about a 241 ?
Regardless what case I put in. Im just wondering if its gonna be worth pissin with the auto-trac to make it right?

Thanks Wayne. Im not sure how the auto-trac works. My main issue with this 246 is when Im using this truck it almost always has a trailer on it and Im sure thats why the tcase failed with only 115k on it. I just want a stronger case.
Someone here works un water treatment, (one of the Mike's I think.) saw this story and had to share it here.
