Who wants to come for supper tonight?

I'm debating firing up the smoker or deep fryer

We have a family of skunks under the chicken coop.
I've gotten the female and 3 little ones so far.
There's 3 more little ones that need to disappear yet.

If you throw a blanket or tarp over the trap they wont.
As long as they can't see they wont.
I take the whole trap to the pond and throw it in until they give up the fight.
Then pull the trap back out.

Or just shoot them in the trap, but a lot of times they'll spray then.

We don't have them here, Thank God.

I let a trapped one starve. Not the most humane thing but I didn't get sprayed.

We had a big bonfire a few years ago and about 20 minutes after the fire was started an opossum ran out of the big pile smoking with sparks coming off of it's hair[emoji1]

It probably tried playing dead and then realized i gotta get the *f-word outta here its gettin' hot.

Head shot will keep them from spraying. Miss and hit body you're really screwed

Yup, that's how I dispatch the bastards if I get one in the live trap.

Knock on wood I've yet to get one inside my barn.

My recommended way of dispatch is a 220 conibear, usually they don't stink.
