Is that just benefits or an actual paycheck?

My work just changed from getting one day (if it fell on your day to work) to 4 full weeks of pay. So irritating.....Can't hardly get most of the younger generation to come to work the way it is, then you give them an option to 4 full weeks of pay. They call it bonding time

Equal to about 60% of regular pay cheque.

My wife works for the Federal Government so they topped her up to 95% of her normal pay to stay hone for the year.

As an employee or parent it's great. As am employer/ management it really sucks ass.

Just found out that my #2 Assistant is pregnant. Going to be starting Mat leave at the end of August...

You likely aren't aware but in Canada parents are entitled to 52 weeks of Parental Leaving with paid employment benefits...

(Assistant #1 is currently on Mat Leave, maybe returning in May...)

Who keeps hiring these women of child baring age...

That's crazy, that does suck for a employer

I think lisa only had 9 weeks and she took 3 weeks of vacation for both our kids.

I'm having a son in April. If my company offered me 4 weeks paid to spend time with my newborn son you bet your ass I'd take it.

If that were tried in the US people might try to go out and get a job, instead of cranking out more babies for a bigger check. Lol

Just raining like a MF'r here again. Some big hail pounding a couple of counties west of me. Tornado watches again in a few mid-Ga counties. One of the areas just south of me getting the chit knocked out of them is where the tornadoes strolled through a couple of wknds ago. I'm sure there's some tight *a-holes around those areas again right about now.

Dad just called, said I got a new digital electric meter, and meter box at my house.

Box had been bad for a while, lose 1 leg at random times etc. Power company came out to swap the meter head, when they pulled it all the guts came out of the box lol. So they had to put up a new box since they broke it.

Called a year ago to see if they would change it out, said the box was my responsibility.

I'm sure my bill is gonna go up big time now....
