Hey Cust.
Taken a downwards in the relative temp stakes this week. Snow falls in the south etc. Bitter cold southerly winds.

You'd laugh.
meh, our winters are really mild compared to wisconsin or minnesota. i dont like snow a whole lot but i prefer it to 85 and humid. but we get enough winter to keep out the riff raff most of the year lol.

Well the bee inspector says that hive is clear of efb , so that is good news, and thinks it’s just hygienic bees Being clean🤔 at this rate they will never get any honey for them or me..
I think. Will requeen it if I get some bees that I think are half decent.
Bees, years ago, once I had a queen with her workers visit me, they found an opening around a house window and settled down.
The neighbor in the tractor, me in the tractor bucket high above the ground, wearing bee gear, crowbar, and a carton of poison spray.

Now, with knowledge and rumors, I think the swarm came from UK

problem is “big gravity” has great lobbyists and corporate america knows that if the gravity hoax were to be exposed then all hell would break loose!!
Gravity also discriminates again People of Size. One day, we shall all rise up and...

Okay, we might not literally "rise up", but we'll be pretty mad, at the least!

And I'm going out for used chainsaw parts in Norway, 133/234/444 and 238/242.
Things that are very hard to find, and almost impossible as NOS.
I'm trying to renovate 133 back to original, and I'm trying to renovate 444SG to close to the crankcase quality.

I wouldn’t mind having a “G” kit for my 242 if you come across one. 😅

I have a 1/2 G on my 272...someone swapped out the front handle, so I don't have the heated elements for that, but the rear handle works really well!

If you can rewrap new rubber, getting a bent one is easy.
It's pretty much the same element that's in all of them, 2-3xx.
Where they change was on the 5xx series, but that element will also work 100% even on the 2-3xx series.
The generators were 3 sizes, 266, 272, 372.
346, 357
242, 254, 262

I always try, but it's very difficult to get hold of here in Norway.
There are definitely parts for the 242 out there, but people are sitting on them.
The time I helped Randy and Glock it took me months before I had managed to put two together, and 6-7 years ago it was much easier...

That’s about what I expected. I’d honestly prefer a G kit for my 266 over the 242 to be honest. But they’re all super hard to find.

Is there a part number for the element? Does it go under the rubber but over the bar or inside the bar?
No.
The thing is to take the element from a bent g handle, cut off the rubber on the handle it will be used on. There is an insulating type of tape that makes the assembly a little easier where the wires are to be soldered on, so you don't end up with a short circuit. The element is mounted on the underside of the handle.
Buy yourself some heat shrink tubing, electrician type.
And you are about to build a functional g handle.
444,242,254,262,266,272,346,357,372 have identical heating elements.
You can also use from the 5xx series, the generators are not picky

The 2xx series is very hard to find g handles for.
And I think 266 G are super rare these days.
From 1994 Husqvarna sold quite a few 242 g with cat, those rice cookers burned the top cover, and relatively often the handles too.

I stopped in at the Auto-Zone to ask if any warranty was left on Sis car battery.
Bought in 2022 and they swapped it out, at no cost to me.

The employee gloved up and did an excellent job with the install.
Put the felt washers on the posts and then Carefully fingered a good layer of the anti-corrosion grease into the clamp holes, onto the posts, etc.
Covered all surfaces of the clamps.
They even took the nuts off of the clamp bolts and greased the bolt threads and put the nuts back on, before tightening them.

I was darn impressed with the young lady!
Gave me a nice boost in my hopes for our future.
