Super.
That happened to us last year, Ed. We slept in our air conditioned camper to escape the heat... turned a lousy situation into something of a lousy vacation

I went through that 2 years ago. It was 80 degrees when it went out. Had to wait a week to get it installed. The morning they came it was 27 degrees.
Luckily the temps here have dropped to mid 70's for a few days

That is a possibility, but seeing we were just in there for 10 days in Wyoming, it's going to have to get pretty warm in the house for me to go back to it right now.

What exactly is going on with it? For example if the outside unit fan comes on but the compressor doesn’t fire up right after it could be the contactor or start capacitor. Both common points of failure and easy diy fixes.

Cycles at 15 second intervals. I tested the low pressure switch, it's opening.
Hvac guy was out this morning. It's low. Real low. R410e, which is being phased out (20+ year old unit). $800 just to charge it..
Got quote on new unit.

Man, that sucks, hope they can get it fixed quickerer. Last year both our 16 year old heat pumps went out 2 months apart. Cheaper to replace pumps and air handlers than refill with older refrigerant. Similar happened at our business, except some meth head in the neighborhood cut the refrigerant line. Hoping the huffer burnt the crap out of his nose!

Good afternoon, slobs,

day two of birch timber driving, as usual I fill up what the timber claw takes, sometimes a little too much, today a little round dance on the front wheels down the hill. Think there are 3-4 trips left, will consider a little less weight on the front loader lol definitely safer!

Used the 540mk3 today too, the only thing I'm not happy with is how the 3/8lp chain stretches, or weakness in the mk3, other than that, fantastic lightweight saw !

Just "borrow" some equipment from work and convert it to r1234yf. If it dies then no harm since you are replacing it anyway. If you were closer I might know of someone with gauges and a bottle of r410. On a side note, did you know you could buy r410 from eBay a few years ago. And some yellow jacket gauges as well.

Damn! Yeah, it’s best to upgrade. If you get an efficient enough unit it’ll pay for itself with electric savings. Try to switch to something with R34 or R454b and 20+ seer efficiency.

Heck back in the early days of eBay you could still get r12 and 22. It was stupid expensive but you could buy it on there.

Send Cuban Cigars. Thanks
Home now, I can source them here, don’t need to be travelling to get those.

Let me know what you want and we can figure out the logistics.

R1234YF is ridiculously expensive. .6Kg, or about 1.3lbs charge for a typical vehicle runs about $350. I think my unit requires around 4lbs. That's more than the R410e
