Was planning for supper, but it finished for lunch.
Definitely have to better places than a cooler to rest your meat...One butt and the brisket are off and resting. When the butt requires more than one utensil to get off of the grate, I know it's gonna be good. They're foiled and resting in the oven. I've warped a couple coolers lately using them to rest meat, so now I only use them to rest/transport if I'm riding dirty to a party.
Can't blame you not wanting to sell. I've seen a few builds and saws for sale that made me think unless the guy either inherited or stole the parts, they can't be making a profit.Good afternoon snobs,
I gathered enough courage to screw on the flywheel, hda199 and hoses and such, and am pretty much done with my mixed OE / NE adventure. I will probably port it sooner or later, boring without it.
With what I put in, crankcase, crank, NE cylinder set, muffler, oil pump, clutch & drum, AV's, xpg handle, starter housing, top cover, brake flag, it is not something I will sell, she will be number three in the row, definitely dead before I wear out the other two though.
I got most of it very cheaply from the dealer, and I bought the cylinder sets when everything was very cheap, so it wasn't completely disastrous
I will start bucking housewood this week, it has to be done a bit quickly, luckily the timber claw does the biggest burden, years since I last bent with bucking. With luck I will split without disfiguring my fingers.

I do it to fill the space above the meat. I haven't put them below because I don't want them to turn into a smoky greasy meat spongeTim
Have you tried put towels in the cooler? When I rest briskets in my cheap Coleman cooler I lay one towel on the bottom wrap my brisket in a towel then a towel on the top. With this set up and the cooler I use there is no room for anything else.
@dallsmoky greasy meat sponge

Or a @Woodpecker documentaryGreasy meat sponge just might make a great band name.
I have yet to have that happen but I also use foil versus paper.I do it to fill the space above the meat. I haven't put them below because I don't want them to turn into a smoky greasy meat sponge
It happens to me almost every time, and I use the heavy Costco foil.I have yet to have that happen but I also use foil versus paper.
I like to diagnose, and build, like many others on the forum we get hung up on details, and then the money runs out quickly.Can't blame you not wanting to sell. I have bought one or two of those saws, so I shan't cast stones.

Might throw in a disposable baking pan on top of a towel. You can push it into more of the cooler shape as well if need be.It happens to me almost every time, and I use the heavy Costco foil.
Grandpa would say "lots of ways to skin a cat".Might throw in a disposable baking pan on top of a towel. You can push it into more of the cooler shape as well if need be.
Just imagine the album covers...Greasy meat sponge just might make a great band name.
Be a good tramp stamp tattoo.
Wouldn't that be a dickumentary?Or a @Woodpecker documentary
