Sheezus Toenail. At first groggy glance I thought that was a fire in a half round barn. Like where you keep your boat.
Streaky windscreen got me good.

I know, I need to wash the tractor. Or maybe just leave it out in the rain this weekend. You know how it is with these bishes. Need to have Ed come and help out for a while working on some cars. Give him something else to work on besides GM products. Hard to get things done like yesterday. Walked out the house to take care of cows at 6:30 in the morning and finally got back in to stay at 9:25 in the evening.

The problem with using iron balls is the wear it causes on the soft metal in the gear box.
Plastic won't cause much wear, although they will have to be replaced a little more often. And there are some plastic materials that can withstand a lot too.

The 8 and 10 speed are plastic.
I'm not sure if they are the same size as all the other metal ones or not.
It wouldn't shock me if it was simply cost cutting.
