I agree.

I've never taken much of a side politically, people from all sides have made valid points... people laugh at me..I even agree with some of the things Bernie Sanders says sometimes.

But some things aren't political (even though they've been made political)...they are right and wrong. And that's where people need to draw the line and stand their ground. I'm one of them.

I understand that there’s a lot of gray area between what is political, and what is not. It just frustrates me that we’re losing some solid members because of it. People come here to escape the day-to-day mess. That’s my 2 cents.

Agreed. I find myself here when my friends on Facebook want to start being political. I usually scroll on and leave it be, but some days it just gets to me. Everyone has their own beliefs, like Husky’s are boat anchors and Fords are junk, but we don’t have to cram it down other’s throats.

I don’t think its so much being triggered (guys taking a break from here) as it is just tired of hearing about all of it in general. Thats all anyone wants to talk about all day, everyday. In the store, at the gas station, on tv, etc,etc.

Most guys come on here (like i do) to try and get away from all of it. When you log on and the first thing you see is a political post, many just log right back off.

It might be microscopic in the grand scheme of things, but to some who come here to escape it, it’s too much. I get why some have left and haven’t returned.

I voted no, only because it is impossible to stop. Someone will make an innocuous comment that kicks up the dust. I would love for it to not go down the rabbit hole of politics. I avoid it whenever possible. We all need too police ourselves, and not others.

I had an idea once about dealing with a55holes on the road. What if every driver had 4 darts, and if you encountered an a55hole, you fired one of your darts. Once a driver had accumulated 4 different owners darts, he got a timeout. And those darts were returned to their owners. Since you only had 4, you had to use them wisely. I know teenage drivers would go around shooting their friends to give them a timeout. As teens do shît like that.

While I am not a fan of nannyism, it is something to consider. I have no idea how this would be implemented, just a thought exercise. (I know, I have too much time on my hands)

Whatever way this goes, I appreciate the collective comraderie on this site. You're all a bunch of good cûnts!

I had already figured I wasn't going to participate anymore if it meant writing out a post, parsing it for subtext, subjecting it to the ACME Butt Hurt meter, and finally deciding it was snowflake safe

Evening gentlemen. The kids were out due to “a chance of flooding” so we started the guard on the dozer blade. This blade has a spill skirt on top that had to be cut out to get to the actual top of the blade that was thick enough to take the force. Put a wide base plate, 3x4x.375 wall tube uprights welded to that and the back of the moldboard. We will run the same tube across the top and down to the blade as “wings”. Ran 4 passes of 7018 and realized I didn’t have enough to finish in the rod oven. I thought I had another sealed can but I didn’t. We went to the welding supply place and picked up some more rods and a few odds and ends I’ve been needing. 7018 Excalibers are $4.50/lb! Anyway, we will finish it Saturday since he is this vested in it. I don’t want to finish it without him. I’ll probably let him weld the front plate on with the MIG since he has it down pat. We push a lot of brush and you can’t see in front of this dozer very well. You can see the corners great, but we already had one OOPS with something come right over the blade.
