I'm not uncheerful Jeff. Just being honest. I think we all know by now how I feel about a great many issues the world is facing.....and it's also plain to see that I'm in the minority in my opinions here. So in order to remain a participant, I have to overlook or ignore about 90% of the content. And so.....I ask myself daily.....why am I here?
On the planet, or in this forum? You own the forum, and if you were a trillionaire, you would own the planet. Get the pig rentals going.

That’s fair.
Unfortunately that freedom has come at a cost of a few members that no longer join us here.
Let's put it up for discussion. Who wants to get back to absolutely zero political BS?

Sadly.....it's everywhere now. It's almost impossible to have a conservation anywhere with anyone without it being brought up in some fashion.
You own the forum
I don't own the forum Larry.

I understand that there’s a lot of gray area between what is political, and what is not. It just frustrates me that we’re losing some solid members because of it. People come here to escape the day-to-day mess. That’s my 2 cents.

New poll at the top of the page. Tell your constituents. LOL
Normally that would be enough and counting on grown men to know what is and isn't political SHOULD be enough but a lot of those lines have been blurred in recent years

Obviously there is no comprehensive list of YES and NO topics so I guess if we are willing to try our best and limit the butthurt when someone UNINTENTIONALLY crosses the line then I am all in for zero politics

I will put in my two cents worth that thinly disguising politics as humor is a no go in my book

This poll is simply to get a feel for what "we" as a group want. It's gotta be us making a decision together....and policing ourselves as best as possible. I absolutely refuse to be the guy who enforces it.

We are a group of grown men....and we should be capable of moderating ourselves.

Saying men can't be women is now considered political..

Thing's that were once common sense became political coversation..how that happened ? I have no idea.

My two cents....
What I valued most in the last 10 years of my working life was the opportunity to be hired by another company, experiencing and learning something from what others went through was what I valued most in life. And that's how I look at political problems too.
But it takes a lot to listen to each other, you have to be able to read another man's opinion, accept it even if you disagree, and keep a polite tone.
You also have to actually be able to laugh a little. That's how I experienced the last 10 years, lessons but also laughter.

I hope your drive is to mentor folks to at least try to see a few different sides of any position, and encourage moderate behaviour.
Unless its about the joke of the day...

Yep, no bueno.

This isn't a political statement, but it is about politics.
I hope you all get what you are hoping for, but that hasn't been our experience here. NZ had a recent change of leadership, and many people who wished for change are now adversely affected by change they didn't accept, and not happy about it.

I've used Mental Ignore on a few more comments recently than in the previous years, and i'm sorry the lads are taking breaks. I hope more don't choose that option.

Right now we are at 4 to 3 on the votes. LOL

I'm thinking this will be yet another thing that we can't find a way to agree on.

It’s tragically unfortunate that society gets so triggered over some of the dumbest topics these days.

Yeh, I know… it’s been said in the past….

I just find it hard to understand, how guys have to leave the forum j ust because the X-rated room ( nsp3) don’t really follow, there ethics/religion/ etc. . Or a member has a different view about some crap on the tv.

all I can say is there are many ethical things I don’t understand or agree with, but I just let others have there views and skip thorough those posts. One of them things for me is “Religion”.. yes understand everyone can have and do have one ..& I skip the chat. And follow those things I like in those guys.

Some of these other things are, but it’s not everything I disagree are …..

..

… ..
…..
….

….
……

…………

see it’s not worth me listing my dislikes., I just skip it And…..

Of course I just see the things like in the guys that hang in here ( this whole forum)..

as I get older I realise fewer people have all the same realistic ideas as I have. So I choose to chat about what we/i have incommon

Anyway I’ve have known a friend or two in the past that had done everything and knew everything better than myself and everyone else. So I just avoided him as best as possible…
so… bill G is on my ignore list and will be for a long time and snot boy is 🤔 you may wonder who & why 😂
