I'm not an EV fan but I am not dead set against it at all, there is a time and a place

I am tired of the absolute lack of understanding of the overall picture and process by the lemmings who just fall into line behind the politicians with their nazi edicts on EV or whatever they are trying to shove down everyones throat this week with their one size fits all mentality

I'm not against EVs at all. Instantaneous torque is awesome. The Tesla Model S Plaid holds the world record for fastest production car 1/4 mile at 8.714 seconds at 162 mph.

Energy is energy. 1 kWh of gasoline is equal to 1 kWh of electricity. @Kiwioilboiler (we use kWh in America so it's not communist). Green comes down to the cleanest way to turn that energy into spinning wheels. EVs are about 50-60% more efficient than gasoline vehicles.

That doesn't mean we have the infrastructure to handle them.

I have two real problems with the EV push-

1.) It's driven by politicians.
2.) Its tied closely to autonomous vehicles, which I am 100% against.

As someone who used to toss piss jugs, you would think you would be for autonomous vehicles. The way the asshats driving now only spend 3 percent of their time looking out the windshield, I would feel way more comfortable with a computer paying attention 100% of the time. I am against mandating autonomous though. Some of us will never trust the people who would control, or govern it's implementation. Holey crap it is dangerous out there.
