Getting my great nephew ready for deer season
I got him this new .270 Mossberg Patriot for 200.00 from a friend View attachment 391880
Really nice budget rifle fluted barrel, fluted bolt and accutrigger probably 1 1/2 pounds very crisp.
He was looking at 6.5 creedmore and I looked them up there's a lot of hate for them for some reason View attachment 391877View attachment 391878

I've never shot a 6.5 creedmoreView attachment 391879
Nice

I have two 270s and never felt the need for any of the short action or gee whiz cartridges

I do have a long bar and chains to fit the 500.
I'd have to sell a couple saws to justify it tho.
Was glad to see the shop near me. Said they bought the retired guys franchise.

Not me I've never even shot or know anyone that has the 6.5 creedmor
But the hate is strong for that round
The hate is strong for any new cartridge that’s successful and gains popularity quickly, which seems to happen much faster these days with social media and the internet full of information. I have shot a lot of different calibers and I can honestly say that the 6.5 CM is one of the easiest to shoot long range because of its ballistic coefficient and resistance to wind drift. Pair that with low recoil and a short bolt throw and it’s a fantastic round to chamber and shoot. I don’t own one, but I wouldn’t care what anyone would think if I did.
