You can't criticize anything if you aren't willing to help remedy the problem, I have a weird way of picking on the young guys but motivating them at the same time. We were fukking with him real bad last week and taking his picture saying we were gonna post it on gay singles, he actually laughs now and takes it in stride. That kid was broken before..really broken.

That kid works hard..really hard, he never stops. I get a sense of satisfaction out of that considering where he came from.

That's exactly right, my parents weren't fruitcakes taking pictures of themselves feeding their insecurities on Facebook. People *b-word about the world and don't take a step back to notice how much of a contribution they're making to what's wrong.

Dustin is becoming one of us, Scott didn't have the patience with him that I do and left him to my care, I let him do things to build his confidence even if he's scared to try, I tell him he can't fukk it up bad enough that we can't fix it, the first small tree I let him fall was priceless, his confidence went up a few notches after it hit the ground..it wasn't a big deal to me..but it was to him, I told him good fukking job and applauded him, calling people stupid for what they don't know is borderline retarded. Some of the dumbest people I know call people stupid all the time..the irony.

Good for him for deciding it worthwhile to show up for work. And good for you for finding someone who thinks it worthwhile to show up for work. I know several retired guys who are back working driving truck, welding, machining, etc. because the younger folks can't get out of bed in the morning.

Me and my dad talked about that.

Young people are very overwhelmed, it's not entirely their fault. My grandfather had a wife that didn't work and 7 kids and never struggled to pay the bills, life was affordable. I don't know that life and the people 20 years younger than me certainly don't.

Basic amenities are becoming out of reach for young people which makes them say fukk it..why try.

Not a good attitude..but I understand why they have it, so I motivate them to push past it.

The carpenters union has a mentor program for the new hires
Proud to help out the next generation. Some are go getters and some should be saying "fries with that?" Can't teach some of them how to be aggressive and attack the work
