Good morning summer crazies, glad to be at work. Had a storm roll through on Sat evening. Took some trees down on my parents road. The whole neighborhood of older folks trapped in behind the windfall. Couldn't believe none had a chainsaw and as it's a private road the county was no help. So I took my a$$ and saws over and spent Sunday and Monday gittin it. Oak and some sweetgum. Free wood score!

What if there had been an emergency in that neighborhood? Local government needs to do a better job of looking after the elderly. Shameful.

This one is for @Wonkydonkey and the other bee people here. One of the neighbours got quite the fright mowing on Sunday, looked up into one of his trees and there was a massive swarm of bees in the tree. Looks like their original home was disturbed and they all took off searching for safety and to protect he queen. They were pretty high up and the local apiaist couldn’t get them but suggested calling the local Hutterite colony as they had the equipment needed to reach them. Very quickly they showed up with a telehandler and all required gear. Got them in to a transport box and then came and moved them yesterday.
