Good morning summer crazies, glad to be at work. Had a storm roll through on Sat evening. Took some trees down on my parents road. The whole neighborhood of older folks trapped in behind the windfall. Couldn't believe none had a chainsaw and as it's a private road the county was no help. So I took my a$$ and saws over and spent Sunday and Monday gittin it. Oak and some sweetgum. Free wood score!

What if there had been an emergency in that neighborhood? Local government needs to do a better job of looking after the elderly. Shameful.

But then where would you be with firewood? Lol

Well it was a crap show when the float driver got the skidder here, he went off into the ditch backing up, I had to back the skidder off with the trailer slanted in the ditch which was sketchy as hell, but something had to be done as he was stuck and the truck blocking the road with a line up of cars. Once I backed off the trailer with a 10/10 pucker factor, I had to help push him out with the front blade.
But it’s here now I guess

It was bad, the trailer was completely swamped in the ditch, the front of the trailer was bottomed out and the jacks damaged the pavement a lot. People were driving by taking videos and everything, it was embarrassing but it wasn’t me who fked it up
