I’m sure we’ll end up with each eventually but I still want something with more go than a pontoon. Likely end up with a 17-18ft bow rider with an outboard but around here most people seem to have stern drives so finding what I want isn’t easy.

Jet boat? Shallow capable, if you go alloy it'll take the inevitable oopsy. Inboard power tho which is a bit more servicing difficulty.

Got here, and their maintenance guys already removed the main gearbox.
1. There's nothing wrong with it(or wasnt).
2. They didnt remove the spreader beam hanging on the hook, and theres a metric *s-wordton of weight there that can possibly fall at any time.

I told them to put that mfer back where they got it from and call me. I'm not touching that sketchy chit.

The hoist motor encoder is loose on the shaft. Thats the problem.
They just made it 10 times worse and cost several hours more time.

Happy Friday everybody, 'cept fer you @Dream cause they done fuxxed up your whole day. Just got told there is a rumor that we might get bought out, and we all know what that means for pensions. Cut the overtime company wide too. Sounds suspiciously like damage control. Nothing official because they'd have a riot on their hands. *pretty boyes tanked our company on that nuke plant. Have a mint julep kind of weekend, seems like a good time for it.

Definitely on the list of consideration but pre=owned alloy jets boots just don’t exist anywhere near me and new ones would still mean be travelling over 1000kms to the nearest dealer and are out of my price range. Some fibreglass SeaDoo ones but they make me nervous as they can look good but the internals can be totally abused.
A localish dealer has a 2022 19ft Yamaha FSH Centre Console Jet that I would love to have but… still real spendy.
