Land prices sure have changed up there in the last 30 years.

Used to be able to find a 40 for $15-18k, back in the 90's if you looked around.

These days it seems to be $40-70k for a 40.

They scare the hell out of me. Someday I'll get smart enough to work on a tranny.

And I mean a transmission, not the stuff that @USMC615 works on.

Here's the idler gear in front stator support that causes a whine noise.




It gets a new pump driven gear and stator support.


This is the 4th one I've done.

my great grandfather bought this bit in the 1930s i think? its in a trust with the rest of the family, thats the only thing that keeps it affordable for a broke-ass like me lol.
