I fixed a 024 today in less than 20 minutes and I'm not even a stihl guy

Mcshits must be blueprinting the *s-word out of that guy's 024
Anyone who reads the drivel Lightfingers writes....and is like "hell yeah....that's the guy I need to send my saw to" deserves to get long dicked.

Opinions needed on Impact Sockets: looking for a 1/2” drive 1 1/4” shallow Impact Socket. Needs to handle 1,400 ft lbs... Don’t want it to break, but don’t want to sell a saw for it either..

Disclaimer: I own a variety of Snap-On, Matco, and SK tools.. Don’t really feel like paying $50.00+ for one socket.. But I will if it’s necessary.

The sockets are stronger, and usually not expensive. Just use an adapter.
That’s my current setup now. I’d like to eliminate the adapter. It’s on my Milwaukee 1/2” Impact Wrench for use when I run the chain tightener on the skidder tire chains. With the adapter, it’s currently sloppy.

Short socket will withstand the abuse better
If I was you I’d just get one with lifetime warranty cheap one and call it a day
Break it and get a free one
I am looking for a short socket though. By the time I’m done chewing on this, I’ll probably just order an Snap-On..

Price is right, buy several and warranty out if broke. 1/2-in-drive-1-1/4-in-impact-socket
The HF close to me has been very good with honoring the warranties on sockets and extensions

Not really competitors. But she hasn't helped fit any motors, brakes or anything else mechanical that I'm aware of so I have that going for me.
