How many times have you seen this type of stuff before Brent? Glad to hear nobody got smashedMorning knuckle humpers.
Ive been out of the loop since last Thursday morning.
Got a call nobody in my business wants to get.
Customers maintenance guys got on a crane and disabled the safety limit switches that stop the hook block from going up too far.
Operator didnt know it, and ran it all the way up to the bottom of the hoist.
That hoist is more than strong enough to break two 7/8" wire ropes, which is exactly what it did.
Everything that went up came back down, just MUCH faster.
Thankfully, nobody was hurt.
Have spent some long hours since trying to put it back together.
Still got a little ways to go, but its mechanically sound again.
Just have to get the electrical problem sorted out that made them do dumb things in the first place, and find a way to insure it NEVER happens again.
Too many unfortunately. How many times have you seen this type of stuff before Brent? Glad to hear nobody got smashed
We have the mud.
