When I seent the cinder blocks I was certain you wuz puttin in flapper bars and a Skyjacker shackle lift to make the 15 x 10 American classics and a pair of Copper Cobra 315-85-15 white letter radials clear the fenders.
It needs the 1980s "rake".
From what I could see in the pic, the body and paint are freakin mint on that one.
Cleanass rig, even if its a Dudge.![]()
I heard "slammed pavement raker".The rear end was roaring....we are replacing it. Was 3.73 gears, 10" drum brakes, and 5 lug axles.
We couldn't find a rear end that was the "right" one with 5 lug axles, just 6 lug. They all had 9" brakes too. So....we pulled our brakes and axles out and swapped. Replaced the axle seals too. Pinion yoke was different too. This rear end is from a 4wd...so bigger u joint. Changed the u joints and used a "bastard" joint in the rear. Replaced the rear seal in the transmission too. Yeah....was a fun little deal.
As for that 1980s rake......not really. Just installed a set of skinny wheels on the front. After this rear end swap, I'll order the back wheels an tires. Fat.....that's what's going there. Next up, 2" drop spindles in front, 3" drop at the back....
Not saying I don't like where youre going at all.I heard "slammed pavement raker".
Watch out fer dem speed bumps.![]()
You should prolly port it while you got all this other work going down. I'd follow a thread on dat.The rear end was roaring....we are replacing it. Was 3.73 gears, 10" drum brakes, and 5 lug axles.

Happy Thanksgiving and good morning. Any luck yet with the deer Ed, @redline4 ? I haven't been out yet, letting the locals get theirs before I fill the freezer. I don't hunt for anlers, just like the meat.
I have noo idea what happens to the turkey before I eat it. I am not allowed in the kitchen to have anything to do with the meal. Always tastes good though. I do always offer to help, but it is never accepted. So to answer your question, maybe?Good morning guys. Hope everyone has a great holiday. Anyone ever brine their turkey? Trying it for the first time this year.
oh yeah, its the way to go. we’ve been doing a simple “dry brine” they call it, basically just coat it with salt and seasonings inside and out and wrap it up tight in plastic wrap for a day. turns out greatGood morning guys. Looks cold. Invite it in to warm up on the grill.
