Ok.
Those should either have two solenoid, one for forward, one for reverse, or the shifter lever should have heavy cables that reverse the polarity to the starter/genny through a single solenoid. Two stroke engine will run forward or backward.
Those are set up with port timing etc to do so.
I cant remember how those are set up in "service mode".
The Club cars have cams on the shifter to put them into a state where they can be run in neutral.
I think the old 2 stroke EZ Gos just had to be jacked up with at least one rear tire off the ground. Check for fire at the spark plug with the gas pedal pressed.
