Those should either have two solenoid, one for forward, one for reverse, or the shifter lever should have heavy cables that reverse the polarity to the starter/genny through a single solenoid. Two stroke engine will run forward or backward.
Those are set up with port timing etc to do so.
I cant remember how those are set up in "service mode".
The Club cars have cams on the shifter to put them into a state where they can be run in neutral.
I think the old 2 stroke EZ Gos just had to be jacked up with at least one rear tire off the ground. Check for fire at the spark plug with the gas pedal pressed.

We contacted Deere... Because it was 10 thousands bigger, seemed a little excessive. But they checked the one the had on the shelf and it was the same. Talked to a machine shop and the said we can turn a couple thousands of the loader boom, kind of like after line boring but wouldn't be able to take any off the bushing because it was hardened.

Those should be an interfernce fit, since you dont want it wiggling around in the bore and causing wear.
10 thou seems a bit much. I would have expected 5.
You may run into an issue with the pins not wanting to go in due to distortion of the bushing.
Line boring the arm to give an acceptable interference fit of the bushing would be the correct way to do it.

Its a PITA, but just getting the fan housing off and cleaning the flywheel with some sandpaper might get it sparking.
Verify voltage is going to the ignitor first though.

I see what you did there....

I centre jack, that way I only have to do it once to get the job done. Only a master slacker like you would think of left then right jacking to stretch it out.

We gave Deere the micrometer measurements. They said both the boom and the bushing, which was a factory part right from Deere, are within spec of what they should be. Typically in the past when we've replaced bushings on our excavators, they're a piece of cake. In n out quick. Typically bushings are around 5, maybe they made it that tight because of it being a loader, not sure...
