I had a 66 Galaxie 500 XLT convertible. Traded it for a 56 Chevrolet 210

After replacing the floor pans in the Belair, and reinstalling the body back onto the frame, I traded it for a wild paint job on the 75 Chevy Luv that I drag raced.

After I got sick from a tick bite, I had to sell the Luv truck. :(

That sucks.
Luv trucks were pretty damn cool though. Isuzu.
Light

Most were tough as nails.
Especially the diesels.
No power, but would run literally forever.
Ferd Couriers and later Rangers were just rebadged Mazdas with Ferd specific body panels.
Same with the Dodge D-50 compact pickups.
Mitsubishi Mighty max with a Dodge emblem.
By-product of our occupation of Japan after WW2.
Imagine, us willingly driving around a little truck made by the same folks that made the planes mostly responsible for the damage inflicted on Pearl Harbor.

Maybe stop and think about that for a sec.;)
Point being we were able to use a TON of their knowledge to make things better for ourselves.

Notice anything different in how things go nowadays?

I think the Japanese have paid their dues for Pearl harbor. We lit up a couple cities which ended hostilities. That being said, they seem to have a slightly better grasp of quality control than we do. Which would you depend on more, an Accord or an Impala? There is a huge difference between what we are capable of making, and what we do make.

People can change, and the Japanese have become one of our best allies, and they also harbor no resentment towards us. Not being political, just know the Japanese.

Good morning all.
