Good morning fellas. Rain rolling through.
Good morning fellas. Yesterday afternoon we got a yearling heifer which was exciting for the kids. Unfortunately she got spooked, busted through the fence, and spent the night out in our neighbors 100+ acre corn field. Thankfully we were able to get her loaded up into a trailer this morning and get her in the barn. Gonna pick up a cow/calf pair this weekend to be a pasture mate.
I definitely learned my lesson on that one yesterday.I like to keep the new arrivals in the barn for a few days. Then in the barn lot.....then in the field next to the barn.
I definitely learned my lesson on that one yesterday.
That sucks...I lost one a couple of years ago. Out of the head catch, over the fence. Never to be seen again.

It was 10.5 hours driving time for the 680 miles. I keep it under 80 as that is when we get a bad boy report from our gps. So I set the cruise. The only slowdown is going through Knoxville in the morning. Bye time I come back through rush hour is over. I did 45 minutes worth of work time. Again, not going to elaborate on the tasks. But they are simple and quick.Van?! You need a Hughes. 680 miles at 50mph is over 13 hours seat time, hell at 80mph its over 8 hrs.
Here as well!Think we've all done massive days here and there Ed for whatever reason. But more days than not for work? No thanks.
Commercial drivers are time restricted here to minimise fatigue mistakes for a reason.
