I posted this in the "What's on your bench" thread to:
Can you or anybody else recommend a carburetor for an echo 225 motor?
I would like something fully adjustable if there is an option for that. I don't mind aftermarket, if you know of a specific brand.
Thanks in advance...
What the hell is an Echo 225?

I thought it is a Trimmer.
Googled; maybe this: https://www.echo-usa.com/trimmers-brushcutters/srm-225
LOL, Echo refers to a line of equipment, with their legendary 21.2cc motor, with the 225 designation. For instance, SRM-225 (straight shaft trimmer), GT-225 (curved shaft trimmer), PE-225 (edger), SHC-225 (hedge clippers), etc. They all have the same motor/powerhead. Solid motor, crappy non-adjustable carburetor.
I am looking for a replacement, preferably fully adjustable, if there is such a thing.
Hey @Duke Thieroff, Glad to see your on here during lunch Chris. You gonna let Echo's get beat up on here this afternoon?? Ha,Ha!!Should Echo, and Legendary be used in the same sentence?![]()
rotary carb? some have adjustment on top of the rotor for low side then one on the side hidden in a hole for the high sideLOL, Echo refers to a line of equipment, with their legendary 21.2cc motor, with the 225 designation. In regards to the 21.2cc motor, yes.Should Echo, and Legendary be used in the same sentence?![]()

im not a fan of the rotary carbs either
i have a early 2000s model cub cadet 3000 which is identical to the newer echos so i know what you are sayingI am guessing that is what it is. They are not really adjustable, total garbage. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be an adequate replacement.
The older GT2100 used a conventional diaphram carburetor with H&L adjustments. The GT2101 updated to the rotary POS. Hope this helps just a little from a fellow Kioritz liker of orange LOL!LOL, Echo refers to a line of equipment, with their legendary 21.2cc motor, with the 225 designation.
