Why? Propane tanks are rated to 200psi. The brass fittings are even higher.

Neither of these tanks have had propane in them for years. One has been used for an air tank already. The other one had the safety valve so it had to be removed and defeated. No propane in it after that for sure.

That makes me sad.

Our grass is crazy this year. Best I can remember.

That is the best way. Tough to keep it straight though if the screws push the ribs down and cause the sheet to get wider.

I was just thinking about the age of them and possible rust inside of them making weak points.

It'll be fine.
If they are rusty, they'll just spring a leak and wont hold air.
Like Mark Adam said, if they didnt go boom while the welding was being done, should be good to go.
Just some good ole redneck ingenuity in play.

Raining here [emoji106]

Can't grow corn without some rain. We are in a hay growing period right now. I am looking forward to first cutting, but not first picking up. Going to be a lot slower this year. Can only really lift with the right hand, still not straining the left on Drs orders.

Ain't gonna put up itself.

Why are shingles a better choice? Just curious, not arguing!
Personal preference for crawling around on a rooftop doing flashing, chimney reseals, gutter cleanouts. I assume he ordered 30-40 year dimensional tab shingles so life expectency is good for those shingles.

Welding the bridge handle was the risk. The pipe fittings are fine imho. Now it's done, might as well use it to store air.
Yes, agreed on the welding the hold together pipe. Glad nothing happened for sure. Still think it needs another handle on opposite side to prevent flexing when carrying which could be bolted on to modify. Not trying to be a dik about it. Do you know the pop off or safety valve rating on those tanks Adam? I don't. Do you trust those safety valves on there currently? It should also have a gauge installed also.
Morning guys. Keep smiling and enjoy the day!!
