Mornin' *s-wordkickers, 60 to 75 and clear.

Finished up my roughly two week evening shift (after work 'til about 9-10pm) gig last night. Buddy of mine bought his third rental property home, and doing some remodeling. Place is structurally sound, roof is good, just has a nickel/dime punch list a damn mile long. Whoever owned the place previously must've issued f'ng hammers to every kid...never seen so many dings and pings in sheetrock in my life. Corner beads all f'd up in the hallways, kitchen to living room, living room to hallways, etc. Like they tried to move side-by-side refrigerator/freezers all throughout the house...just beat the living hell out of the corners. Interior doors all f'd up. These were just the tip of the iceberg problems. All the trim half f'd up. And the list went on.

Here is the new shaft they made: View attachment 332211

Almost first thing this morning went to raise this...
20220401_085059.jpg

It went up about knee high, there was a pop and the hoist went down..
A line ruptured. And the locks failed..
Glad it happened before I was under it.
And just previous to that, I had a F150 on it.

Maybe Vajayna sabotaged it. Go break his nose just in case.

Couple things Ed. Glad that episode ended safely. Have a couple beers on me tonight.
This guy just pulled in to get gas. New Blazer spewing A/Fr out the bottom. LOL!!
And third thing is. I sure hope your shop foreman has the foresight to have that lift checked and certified before he sends someone else under there working. As it's a lifting device I assume it goes through annual inspections/certifications right?? I've never been around that style does it have to achieve a certain height before locks activate? I'm assuming knee height they should of deployed.
Anywho, Glad things are cool with ya man!!IMG_20220401_162620880_HDR.jpg
