Much the same here, no place to assemble scaffolding but guard rails are required.
Workers Compensation Board here and does much the same.
A job site requirement here. Guy I know runs a port a john company has become a millionaire in the last 5 years. Pretty much if workers are on site more than 5 hours in a day one is required to be on site,
Last estimate I heard was 5 years ago that safety requirements added about $10 000 to the costs of building a new home here. I look back at my history on houses and the temp. Ladders we used to access second floors compared to now and it is a miracle any of us are alive.
Just yesterday I was having a conversation about my worst job site accident, home owner didn’t understand what was strapped to the underside of their floor joists. I said I would go down and look and then tell her, well she followed me down the temp stairway and it gave way. I was lucky enough to break her fat ass fall. Ended up knee deep in the mud with a 2x4 across the ribs. I missed the day of work, she’s been on disability for almost 15 now. On her third brand new house since that one. Fat Dall!!!
