May have something to do with all the earthquakes you guys get .Adam do you guys do brick veneer or cladding on the outside.Evening lads.
Nap taken. Headin In.
Thought the house building curious amongst us might find this interesting.
This house nextdoor is being built on a Cupolex Rib Raft floor. It's pretty a much a thick floating air pocketed concrete floor. Generic screengrab attached.
The floor was boxed and reo'd last week, poured our Monday, and the factory built framing was being stood up our Tuesday. Took the last pic today, our Wednesday.

Good morning JasonMorning Angie’s and angina’s….72 to 82, rain again this afternoon.
it would make it nicer but usually the foundation hasnt been filled in so not a good area to put it
By choice our building trades probably would too mate, but we have a govt thing called the Accident Compensation Corporation which all workers/employers pay a levy into to guarantee free basic health care to all. The back side is the ACC gets to mandate some (tonnes) rules about how injuries can be minimised.
Well. At least they got a *s-wordzer. LOL
Good morning GunnerMornin Hoarders![]()

Probably all of the aboveWell...what is it? Alligator, python, crocodile, anaconda, dog, cat, wolverine? I can't make it out. Lol
Evening ToddGood morning Jason
Duly noted.Never seen nothing like this...absolute nonsense/overkill. If you can't walk wall plates, etc when framing, you need to hunt another profession. You wouldn't last a single day on any framing crew I've ever framed with decades ago, or I'm aware of. If you fall, you're fired before you hit the ground mentality.

No earthquakes up north where i am Todd so i bet it's just cost.May have something to do with all the earthquakes you guys get .Adam do you guys do brick veneer or cladding on the outside.
How’s your week going so far good I hopeEvening Todd
No work there for me then maybe a letterboxNo earthquakes up north where i am Todd so i bet it's just cost.
Cladding? All sorts from ply and batten thru weather board alternatives to brick.
I see what you said there...Much the same here, no place to assemble scaffolding but guard rails are required.
Workers Compensation Board here and does much the same.
A job site requirement here. Guy I know runs a port a john company has become a millionaire in the last 5 years. Pretty much if workers are on site more than 5 hours in a day one is required to be on site,
Last estimate I heard was 5 years ago that safety requirements added about $10 000 to the costs of building a new home here. I look back at my history on houses and the temp. Ladders we used to access second floors compared to now and it is a miracle any of us are alive.
Just yesterday I was having a conversation about my worst job site accident, home owner didn’t understand what was strapped to the underside of their floor joists. I said I would go down and look and then tell her, well she followed me down the temp stairway and it gave way. I was lucky enough to break her fat ass fall. Ended up knee deep in the mud with a 2x4 across the ribs. I missed the day of work, she’s been on disability for almost 15 now. On her third brand new house since that one. Fat Dall!!!
I see what you said there...
Not too bad...wrapped up a big squadron-wide inspection yesterday, that started last Thurs. Bunch of goddamn overpaid GS's inspecting operations/tasks/work control documents/work orders, records, asking *pretty boys questions, etc, etc, etc. Then they move on to another installation...wash, rinse, repeat. How’s your week going so far good I hope
You mis-understood Todd. Brick is definitely an option. You'd clean up here mate.No work there for me then maybe a letterbox![]()
