Just over a year. Smoking meat was my pandemic hobby that I picked up while being told to stay home. Still feel like a pellet smoker might be in my future, going on 2 weeks that charcoal has been banned due to extreme dryness and fire risk.

I can get a real nice smoke ring on my WSM. Not sure if it works or not but I also like tha flavour. Mix a little celery seed on your rub. Second was was a hot and fast full packer in under6 hours.

Mens it was. Finished 15, was a major disappointment for him. Was cramping during the run. Peaked too soon, won the last warm up event 4 weeks ago.

I should have been more clear. The ring is always there, just inconsistent. Sometimes it's a perfect one like the pics, sometimes it penetrates real deep. I'm thinking probably from the charcoal because I'm pretty consistent with the wood chunks. I've tried a few different brands since Stubb's was discontinued. Man, I miss Stubb's.

They consider a charcoal BBQ an open fire, as there is no off switch like a gas or pellet Q. I don’t really agree with it but have the luxury of lots of leftovers stored in the freezer so have been cleaning that out.

We are so dry I swear the friction from walking across the lawn could spark it on fire.

Day off today. We were originally supposed to go to a state park today, but the addition of the puppy and not being ready to be left for that amount of time axed that. Soo, probably rotate tires on the truck, and other random *s-word before both dogs 5:00 vet appointments.
