I’ve heard of guys dumping in a couple qts of used oil
Have it all gone by next change
My thinking was that is contaminated fluids
If I burn it, it will be on the brush pile

Way back before modern computer diesels, a former supervisor I had at a fab shop was a former diesel mechanic at a big trucking company. They saved all the used oil, filtered it down to somewhere under 10 microns, water removed ect then blended it with diesel and burnt it in the trucks. Can't remember the name of the system.

Two of my friends own their own diesel repair shop. One is the trans guy. Was the Allison guy at Valley truck parts in grand rapids Michigan before going into business with his brother. I'll ask him, if you want, about any recommendations on your transmission.

i dont want to mix in the fuel but i wouldnt mind something to keep injectors clean and working good

I'm running 60/40 gas / diesel in a Kohler courage single rifht now. Runs excellent. Trying 50/50 next.

price and the transmission isnt known to have many problems
with everything ive done to the truck i have less than 7500 in it

Why'd you choose it over the other options?

if you look at dodge they are about 3 times the price of a chevy and transmissions are known to go out alot especially if there is tuning done and pulling with it
and i wouldnt ever own a ford
