Subaru had to be sued over 10% of all their cars burning oil 2011-2014 i think it was. They changed their manuals to say a quart every 1000 miles is normal, therefore not a warranty issue. They lost.

Speaking of hurt Boss man, How is that hand coming along?? I could recommend a good hand orthopedic surgeon up here in Pittsburgh. Not blowing smoke just speaking from experience. Your buddy @sawmikaze would prolly pick you up at the airport. And if you don't fly well 9.5 hr drive not too bad.

I'd go get his Hillbilly ass and take him for some good Yinzer foods.

My buddy's had one of those 10%. It was a lease. He wouldn't even drive it the last 6 months. Afraid to blow it up. Burnt oil like a milling saw.
i got me a 17 year old cheby 6.0 that loses about a 1/2 qt every 5000 miles. feel pretty good about it haha

My truck is 21 yrs old this month with 209,000 on the clock. Doesn't burn oil but sure blows it out the rear main. I consider it self undercoating lol. Best damn truck I've ever owned. I've asked it to do things no half ton should do and it still serves me well

So something interesting happened today. First time I've seen this in person. Its 90 today and humid as a fat chicks underboob. After mowing all our biking trails I grab up one of my little Remington Mighty Might saws to tune up some low hanging brush on said trails. Near the end of the tank its running all erratic and tuning does nothing and it dies. Cools off a bit and fires back up. Runs a bit, starts the same *s-worde. I pop the fuel cap and what was left blew all over. This is the older all magnesium version of the saw, tank and all, and its so hot I can't touch it. I drive a 1/4 mile back to the garage with ma lil rider, fill up the saw and the fuel boils for several minutes in the shade with the cap off. I was almost afraid to use it. Now I know why they lengthened the Mighty Might saws in the front and changed to a plastic tank inside the magnesium case. At least that's my thinking anyway. I need to run the plastic tank unit I have here to see. Supposed to be as hot tomorrow and Friday.

Winter blend fuel maybe?

I saw a hand specialist a few weeks ago. After I get my hay in, he is going to cut it open and poke around. He said there was no way he could possibly make it any worse. If he determines that it has too much nerve damage to ever get better, in a few months he will remove it down to the first joint and be done with it.
