I already have. Two options, return for another or they send parts and i can replace them myself. Her is the rub. Don't really want to fix it, because besides the 1.5 hours they said it takes, it's a heavy mfer and imma need help. But, taking it off the tractor, rigging it to lift into ma trailer, securing, transporting ect, I'll eat up half a damn day. So, might as well pull the effing gear box on a new $1700 tiller to replace the seal that is put in first so the last to get to. As in, everything comes out to get to it. I've considered putting grease in it. Lol
You just can't win. Seems to be a standard in today's world.

If its anywhere near as hot up there as it is here, its the grease getting to its melt off point. Just some of what you see getting hot enough to drip.
Cant tell from the pic. Is it a lip seal or gland seal? Gland seal will let some pass.
Could be the case if its got 00 in it.
Just wipe it off.
Try to think happy thoughts.:)
I'll have to look in the manual. It was leaking the first time I used it in spring when 50° out but not dripping on the floor. Since the heat here we are. Odd thing is the manual says 80w90 or similar but I know its 00 from its consistency when I put ma finner in its hole to check it and they told me on the phone.

My truck is 21 yrs old this month with 209,000 on the clock. Doesn't burn oil but sure blows it out the rear main. I consider it self undercoating lol. Best damn truck I've ever owned. I've asked it to do things no half ton should do and it still serves me well
Gotta be happy with that don’t you

I wish Id gotten a chain driven unit now like the Kubota dealer sells. Frontier? Or are those oil bath as well. I went gear drive because I figured less maintenance. Lol.
I haven't researched them much but would like to get one eventually. You definitely gave me something to look into regarding gear drive tillers

As of right now, if a chain unit only requires some some periodic chain lube id go that route. Oil bath it could leak like a gear unit im sure.
